New Kaizer Chiefs signing Faiz Abrahams says joining Amakhosi is a dream come true, revealing that the club’s history of trusting young players was key to his decision.

The 21-year-old attacker officially put pen to paper at Naturena this week and wasted no time in expressing his excitement.

"One Of The Biggest Clubs In Africa"

Abrahams spoke glowingly about the move.

"I am very happy to join Kaizer Chiefs. It is an honour to be here at one of the biggest clubs in Africa," Abrahams said.

The former Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town Spurs forward becomes the latest young talent to be handed a chance at Chiefs.

Youth Development Attracted Him To Amakhosi

What stood out most for Abrahams was Chiefs’ track record with youngsters.

"They have won a lot of trophies and what attracted me most is that they have a history of giving opportunities to young players."

Chiefs have handed first-team debuts to several youngsters in recent seasons, including Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba and Samkelo Zwane.

Abrahams will be hoping to follow in those footsteps as coach Fernando da Cruz continues his squad rebuild.

The attacker is expected to add pace and energy to Chiefs’ frontline as Amakhosi look to challenge for silverware this season.
