Makaab confirms loan plans for Goss and February at Sundowns: "Looking at opportunities for game-time"

Jody February

Agent Mike Makaab has confirmed that both Ricardo Goss and Jody February could leave Mamelodi Sundowns on loan this season as they seek regular first-team football.

With Ronwen Williams, Denis Onyango and newcomer Sanele Tshabalala all ahead of them in the pecking order at Chloorkop, game-time has been hard to come by for the two goalkeepers.

Speaking to _FARPost_, Makaab gave an update on their futures.

“Look for Ricardo Goss; we are looking at loan opportunities for him to get game-time and get back to the best form that we all know,” Makaab said.

The former Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic shot-stopper has made just 3 appearances for Sundowns since joining in 2021 despite being on loan for some seasonsn

On February, Makaab said a decision is yet to be made but a temporary exit remains on the table.

“At the moment, nothing is final in terms of February’s future at Mamelodi Sundowns, as I said we are still looking at options for a loan move,” he told _FARPost_.

Sundowns are set to compete on 4 fronts this season including the Betway Premiership and CAF Champions League, and Makaab believes a loan would be best for both keepers to stay sharp.
