Zwane: "I Admire Nduli So Much" - AmaZulu Coach Wishes Pirates Star Speedy Recovery

AmaZulu head coach Arthur Zwane has apologised to Orlando Pirates midfielder Sihle Nduli after the player was forced off injured during their 1-1 draw.

Nduli had only recently returned from a long lay-off, making the challenge all the more concerning for the Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder.

“I would like to apologise [on behalf of AmaZulu] to the player that was hurt, which is Nduli,” Zwane said after the match. 

“One of the top players that I admire so much. When you see a player and just go back from a long-layoff injury and again, he comes off the field; you get worried.”

The AmaZulu coach stressed that player welfare comes first regardless of club colours.

“We want to see all our top players in the country, whether they are playing for AmaZulu or Pirates, or any other team, it doesn’t matter,” Zwane added. 

“All the top players have to be seen on the field and showcase their talent. So, I wish him a speedy recovery.”

The incident took place in a tightly contested league match that ended 1-1. Pirates will now be hoping scans show Nduli’s injury is not serious as they push on in the league and CAF competitions.

  Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has issued a wake-up call to his Bafana Bafana internationals, saying he needs them to hit full fitness urgently after a slow start to the season. Maseko Rejects Sundowns Offer: Cardoso Confirms Attacker Wants Exit

Miguel Cardoso says Thapelo Maseko has turned down the chance to rejoin the Mamelodi Sundowns squad, with the 22-year-old attacker now pushing for an exit. Speaking after Sundowns’ latest training, the CAF Champions League-winning coach confirmed that talks had taken place but Maseko made his intentions clear. “There are no personal issues between us,” Cardoso said. “We had positive discussions recently.
