Burnley Star Lyle Foster Set for MLS Switch - Houston Dynamo Agree Loan Deal

Lyle Foster in Bafana Bafana

Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster is on the verge of a shock move to Major League Soccer, with Houston Dynamo closing in on a deal for the Burnley star.

According to _The Athletic_, the 26-year-old is set to join the MLS outfit on a season-long loan, with Houston Dynamo holding a $7 million option to buy at the end of the deal.

Foster, who has been a key figure for the Clarets over the last four years, has made over 100 appearances for Burnley, contributing over 20 goals in all competitions.

The move is seen as a fresh start for the South African international, who has been looking for more regular game time to secure his spot in Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane's squad ahead of upcoming qualifiers.

In the MLS, he will join his fellow Bafana Bafana teammates Puso Dithejane, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Bongokuhle Hlongwane and Tylon Smith, who are already plying their trade in the United States.

Houston Dynamo, who are pushing for a playoff spot in the Western Conference, see Foster as the ideal profile to lead their attack.

Burnley are yet to release an official statement, but sources indicate personal terms have already been agreed.
